The Triangle Birth Network is a membership-driven organization seeking to promote and advance the practice of evidence-based maternity care and the principles of the Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative in our local area.
Our members include consumers, parents, midwives, childbirth educators, doulas, massage therapists, lactation consultants, psychotherapists, chiropractors, physicians, and public health professionals – each committed to these same principles and practices.
The Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative and the principle of evidence-based care are central to our mission of improving maternity services in the Triangle. In this section, you will find both the MFCI and the concept of “evidence-based care” explained in fuller detail. Take a few minutes to read this information and understand these principles.
